MFC heads to invitational comp at Penrith Academy of Fencing

In August MFC was invited to a foil competition for high school students hosted by Penrith Academy of Fencing (PAF). Three of our year 7 fencers attended and had a great day of friendly competition with fencers from PAF and Feng Fencing Studios, plus delicious homemade cakes! 

It was the three MFC fencers’ first external comp and they we made very welcome by the PAF crew. Inter-club comps are an important step on the pathway to higher level comps, as well as being excellent learning and development opportunities, so we’re very grateful to PAF for the invitation and look forward to doing more things together.
