Our times

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.

 “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times.
But that is not for them to decide.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

In other times, last Saturday would have been the club's first competition of the year. We'd planned a new format with a break for a BBQ lunch so that everyone could get together, relax and chat, get to know coaches, committee, new members and families, talk about ways to get involved with the club for those who want to, and generally celebrate our vibrant, inclusive and brilliant community.

But our times are new and very different from how things were a few months, or even weeks, ago. And during these times we hope you're finding ways to keep active and have fun, to stay connected with your crew, to stay safe and to keep taking care of yourselves and eachother.

And while there will be a day when fencing will be back, it is not this day… but our day will come : )
