Fencing this Saturday


 The weather is set fair, it's time to get fencing.

We are back this Saturday, 30 May at 11:30am after sadly having to cancel training last week due to inclement weather. So get your weapon and glove, book a place and come join us tomorrow.

What exactly will we be doing? The basic answer is fun fencing things:
  • getting those feet moving with some warm-ups and footwork
  • hand and arm positions for parries and lunges
  • point/edge control with our weapons (we have some new targets to play with too!)
  • building up some fencing-specific strength, balance and agility.
For almost all of these exercises you will need a weapon and a glove so if you own those please bring them. If you don't have your own weapon and glove that's ok as we will have some to borrow on the day. As we won't be bouting each other masks won't be required so you needn't bring those.

And finally, this session is for all members over 14, no matter which of the training sessions you normally attend, not just those of you who regularly come on Saturday morning.

As per the Phased Return to Training plan, booking in for these sessions will be required and places will be limited. So book in now!
