Have a Stab!

Graphic image on black background with happy typeface in all caps that says 'have a stab!' in lime green, cyan blue and pink. Underneath a line of text reads 'for new and returning adult fencers', below which are a foil and epee in grey crossed with a gleam where the blades meet. Below the swords text reads 03–24 Sep 2020

Always wanted to try fencing but haven't yet given it a go?
Fenced when you were younger and like to get back into it?
Have kids who fence and want to know that they're so excited about?
Covid making you feel like stabbing something (safely, of course)?

Have a Stab is for you!

This four-session epee and foil program is for adults who are new or returning to fencing and will run each Thursday evening in September, 7.15–8.30pm.

Working with the Club's head coach (also a coach on the Australian Olympic team for Tokyo 2020) you'll get to grips with the basics of foil and epee fencing in a fun and friendly environment. At the end of the program you'll have all the skills you need to start training with the Club if you want to.

And guess what? If you're a non-fencing member of Mountains Fencing Club – ie if you're the adult contact of one of the Club's under 18s members – then the program is free! For non-members the cost is $40 for the program (ie, you get all four sessions for your $40).

So come and have a stab!

Spaces are limited and tickets are essential. Register here.
