No, you aren't imagining it

 

Do you stop and pinch yourself, thinking 'Can fencing really be this great? Can the club really be going this fantastically?' Well, you're not imagining it!

Some wonderful young fencers have joined the coaching team, we've run school holidays programs for the first time ever and programs for new adults for the first time in years, and many great new members have joined the club. Our evening sessions have exploded recently too – this week we set a new record for the number of fencers participating!

And as a result, plans are afoot to expand the number of strips we can deploy to eight. Eight! Think about it! I remember a time not long ago when we got by with two (yeah, two) for an evening training session.

And other people have noticed that there is something special going on around here as well. And not just random people at that.

This week we were recognised by Play by the Rules, a national-level organisation whose aim is to support sporting bodies in achieving best practice in all the ways possible. That's a certificate from them in the picture above. Cool, right? Like I said, you're not imagining it!

This place is it's people and together we've made something amazing. Thanks everyone!
