MFC has patches!

 

And not one, but two!

First, the limited edition 2020 commemorative patch in pandemic black, pewter and white. In this challenging year we found safe ways to keep fencing, plotted a new course and embraced a radical restart of what the Club, and fencing, can be. At training MFC will be gifting one of these patches to all current fencers in recognition of the way we've come together to make this Club flourish. 

Second, the MFC Club patch in the Club colours of orange, purple and white. Symbol of team spirit for your fencing jacket sleeve, t-shirt, bag, tracksuit, or whatever! Available for $5 from the Club shop – no cash payments please! (And if you're thinking you'd like a fencing jacket to sew your patches onto there's a limited number left in the Club shop.)

Finally, the MFC Club patch performs a second function as a patch in the technical computery sense of an upgrade that brings new capacity.

How? MFC would like to buy two EnPointe Display Box systems. These are wireless electronic scoring devices that will dramatically increase our capacity for simultaneous bouts in all three weapons (epee, foil, sabre). The Club has sufficient funds to buy one of these scoring devices, and we’d like to buy an additional two.

That's where the patch comes in – we're asking members to consider buying an MFC Club patch for $20, $50 or $100. That generosity will help fund the purchase of the EnPointe Display Box systems. See? A patch for the Club that increases our capacity! Available from the Club shop.
